Experience and Background
Attorney Morris was born in Montreal, Canada and lived there until the age of 15 when his family moved to Florida. While living in Canada, he became a competitive swimmer and continued to swim after moving to Florida. After graduating high school, he attended Louisiana State University for one year then transferred to Florida State University where he graduated and swam collegiately at both schools.
After graduating college, he worked for his parents at their printing shop then decided to attend law school because his cousin, an attorney, possessed a tremendous drive and tenacity to help others, and he wanted to emulate just that.
Personal Life
He remains an active swimmer and is a member of the New Albany Master’s Swim Team. Even at the age of 60, he is a nationally ranked swimmer and competes at the U.S. Masters Nationals each year, and has been a member of 2 National Championship relays at the National Meet in 2016 & 2017. His master's team just won the 2024 Master's National Team Championship in Indianapolis, Indiana.
In addition, he coaches for Hydra Aquatics as an Assistant Coach of the Pirahnas and Junior Group. He was the head swim coach at Westerville North High School for 4 years and had swimmers qualify for the OHSSA State meet each year. He had a State Champion and had swimmers achieve top 5 Podium finishes, including 3 swimmers who achieved All-American Status as swimmers and students.
The most important part of his life, however, is family. Attorney Morris has been married for 32 years and has two children.
